IBM Systems TechU – Sydney October 2019 – Spectrum Scale

This week its the turn of our unstructured data products. At TechU in Sydney we will have Chris Maestas flying in to cover most of the Spectrum Scale topics. For those that don’t know Chris, here is is bio :

Christopher D. Maestas is an Executive Architect for IBM File and Object Storage Solutions with over 20 years of experience deploying and designing IT systems for clients in various spaces. He has experience scaling performance and availability with a variety of file systems technologies. He has developed benchmark frameworks to test out systems for reliability and validate research performance data. He also has led global enablement sessions online and face to face where discussing how best to position mature technologies like Spectrum Scale with emerging technologies in Container, Cloud, Object or AI spaces. He resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico of the United States.

In addition we have a couple of local speakers presenting sessions on IBM Cloud Private and BM Cloud Object Storage.

Patrik Jelinko is a Client Technical Specialist with IBM Australia. He has 20 years of experience as an IT infrastructure specialist, and has started working with object-based storage systems more than 15 years ago. Patrik is currently focused on software-defined storage and modern data protection solutions.
